Year 6 is an incredibly important year as the children will be taking statutory end of key stage tests in reading, maths and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, as well having a teacher assessment in writing and science. Our aim in Year 6 is to prepare the children for these assessments as well as the transition to secondary school.

Dates for your diary
1) On Thursday 28th February, we will be holding an information meeting about the SATs tests for Parents. In it we will provide you with a key overview of the SATs tests and the major expectations in these tests, as well as providing some ideas and resources to support children’s SATs preparation at home.
Look out for the separate letter will follow soon about this.
2) The week commencing Monday 13th May is SATs week – when pupils will be sitting their compulsory end of KS2 statutory tests. Further details will be covered in the SATs parent’s information meeting.

3) Parents Evenings are on Tuesday 5th February 3:30pm – 5:30pm and Wednesday 6th February 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
