Dear Parents/Carers,
Happy New Year! I hope that you and your families had a lovely Christmas break. It has been lovely to hear all your children's news as they have returned back to school.
I am thrilled that our Nursery outside area has now been completed. Our youngest pupils have already enjoyed using this new space. We have just had new children start in Nursery and we are so pleased with how they are settling in. Welcome!
Attendance - Children are expected to attend school for 190 days per years and have 175 days holiday. Please prioritise your family holidays, parties and days out during the school holidays to ensure that you child is able to reach their potential in school.
We have reviewed our recent Operational Plan as we came back to school in January. You can find a full copy of this on the following website page:
Red Hall Primary School - COVID-19
As you will be aware the rules and guidance have recently changed nationally. In summary the points from our plan are:
We are grateful for your support with this. We know that rates continue to be high in our community and appreciate all that you are doing to help make sure that we try to be as safe as we can.
I am pleased to tell you that Red Hall is now a Kind School. This means that we have has hosted a 52 Lives Kindness Workshop and signed the Kind School pledge. The pledge demonstrates a commitment to encourage a culture of kindness in the classroom: including both kindness to ourselves and to others.
Kind Schools understand that kindness doesn’t happen in isolation, but ripples out of the classroom into homes, the local community and ultimately the world!
Kind Schools see kindness not just as single acts, but as an attitude and approach to life that threads through everything we do and every interaction we have.
You can find out more about us being a Kind School on: School of Kindness | Encouraging Kindness in the Classroom
Kind Schools understand the important role kindness plays in boosting children’s mental and physical health.
