Wellbeing Warriors
The Wellbeing Warriors led assemblies in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to launch our Children's Mental Health Week. They helped us think about how it is okay to talk about your emotions and the importance of doing the things that we love.
Well done Wellbeing Warriors leading your first assembly!
We have been awarded the Bronze Woodland Award which encourages outdoor learning and inspires pupils about trees, woods and wildlife. Our school can now use the special logo, highlighted above, on newsletters to celebrate this achievement.
We are now working on projects and activities to gain the Silver Woodland Award!
Road Safety Network
Well done Reception Children who have taken part in Road Safety Awareness. The children participated in road safety workshops and completed activities linked to this theme. They are now looking forward to discovering more about balance bikes in the near future.
Wellbeing Award for Schools
We are excited to let you know that Red Hall is working towards the Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS). The award focuses on the long-term culture of the whole school, ensuring that mental health and wellbeing sit at the heart of our school life. Although this was important a few years ago, I'm sure we'd all agree that during the pandemic and now as we hopefully approach post pandemic, it is even more so.
What we think is special about this award is that it focuses on our school as a community and therefore we are looking at the wellbeing of our children, staff and parents/carers alike.
Thank you to all of you who completed our questionnaire in December. We have taken on board your views and over the next few months, we will share with you the actions we are taking as we work towards the award.
Finally, I appreciate that being parents / carers at times can feel overwhelming. But please always ensure you show yourself self-care, even if this is as simple as a bath to unwind the stresses of the day! Kindness really does start with kindness towards yourself! If you have any questions or views on the award please contact Mrs Ashworth, via the school office. Thank you.
Head Lice - please can we remind parents to check their children's hair regularly for headlice and treat as soon as possible. Children with long hair should keep their hair tied back whilst at school.
We have a defibrillator!!
We had a special delivery this week. Due to your fantastic fundraising, we have been able to purchase a defibrillator. Hopefully we will never have to use it, but in the event of an emergency, we will be prepared. For more information regarding defibrillator use visit: https://www.bhf.org.uk/ (British Heart Foundation) #CREATE
We wanted to let you know that we have purchased a new phonic scheme called Monster Phonics. We will update you on this very new exciting scheme that will help your child to have success with reading.

Someone is having a baby!
Everyone at Red Hall Primary School would like to take this opportunity to wish Miss Moulton (2M) all the very best as she leaves to start her maternity leave on Friday 18th February. We wish her all the very best with her forthcoming happy arrival.
This means that after February half term Mrs Jones will be coving the 2M class. Mrs Jones is already a member of the Red Hall team and will be moving from the Junior school building.
