Many thanks for your continued support and help throughout 2021. It has been a year of challenges and this has always been made so much easier due to the fantastic team at Red Hall as well as partnership working with families.
We hope that you have a very well earned rest over the holiday period and we look forward to wishing you a Happy Christmas this week in person.
If you haven't had a chance yet, please do take a look at the Christmas songs on our website:

You are able to cast your vote for your favourite tune. It will certainly bring a smile to your faces watching our very talented children.
Warmest wishes and a very Happy Christmas to you all!

Nursery Outside space refurbishment
We have had some works done on the nursery outside space (See the above slide show). We have now had a lovely gazebo erected and astro-turf with some small play equipment for the children. We still have some more work to be done to finish the space and we sure the children will enjoy outside learning a lot more.
Unfortunately, our Christmas Sing-song on Monday 13th has now been cancelled and we will hopefully invite parents to see our outside area in the New Year.
Many Thanks to Zoar Church in Gornal for sending the beautiful Christmas booklets to all the children in KS1 and KS2
Reception enjoyed their Jolly Christmas Postman event this week. The Jolly Christmas Postman had spotted some fairy tale characters around Gornal Village, and the children and parents had the challenge to follow the route to discover what was waiting at the end of the trail! A lovely walk was had by all. Thank you to our Chair of Governors, Mark Westwood who was a special guest in the walk.
Year 2 Christmas Craft club
The Year 2 Christmas craft club (after school) have been making some really lovely festive items. The children have really been so creative and I am sure you will agree they are superb. See the above pictures.
Government research shows that children who have less than 90% attendance achieve, at least, one level below what they are capable of. There is a link between the number of days a child is absent from school and their average earnings later in life. Poor attendance not only affects your child now, it affects them forever.
Parent survey
Thank you to all 86 of you who responded to the recent survey. Please find below the link to the outcomes of the survey. This will be used to help us reflect on our current methods of working and how we can make improvements to Red Hall Primary School.
Himley playground - drawing activity |
Dudley MBC are launching an exciting competition. To help celebrate gaining approval to build a children's playground at Himley Hall & Park, we are asking younger children (age 10 and under) to draw their dream outdoor play area. They can be as imaginative as they want to be and we will welcome any spaceships, pirate boats and castles incorporated into their masterpieces. In the New Year we will be holding an exhibition in the hall of some of these artworks. So why not get involved and submit your classes entries? To find out more please go to the Himley website. |
Mayor's Christmas card design competition
The winner of the Dudley Mayors Christmas card competition has been announced. The winner was Bonnie 5CJ. The Christmas card design will be made into the Mayors Christmas card and sent to everyone on Mayor Anne Millward's list. The mayor was very impressed by all of the entries. Well done Bonnie!
